You can use Estimate APIs to facilitate communication between Estimate and external applications to fetch and post data. InEight Explore provides a collection of self-service APIs and associated documentation for accessing your data from data compliant reporting solutions, such as Power BI or Microsoft Excel.
Your estimating data can be used to create your own custom reporting solutions to provide better insight into your business. Each self-service API comes with comprehensive documentation explaining what data is available, where it can be found in the application and examples of how it can be accessed.
There are two sets of corresponding APIs, one set is titled Explore_ and the other is titled SelfService_. The difference between any two corresponding APIs in most instances is that Explore_ APIs only report active records, whereas SelfService_ APIs are intended to report active and inactive records. For more information, see Estimate API Documentation in InEight Explore Resources.
The list of available reporting API documents can also be found in Platform. For more information, see API Documentation in Explore.
For more information about InEight APIs, see Getting Started in the InEight Integrations – Starting Guide for Developers. To access the InEight API Developer Portal, click here.
You do not have to be signed into a project or assigned to a particular project to access Explore.
