Activate and Deactivate the PBS Changes Log

When the PBS Changes Register is activated, the impact of changes are automatically calculated on the job’s price and cost. The impact of each change on the job’s target price is then recorded. This includes Before, After, and Difference values for the job’s profit, indirect costs, and direct costs.

Activate the PBS Changes Log

Activating the PBS Changes Register

  1. On the Price tab, click PBS Changes under the Audit Log section to open the PBS Changes Register.
  2. Click Yes on the Activate PBS Changes Log? dialog.

After you have activated the PBS Changes Register, you are prompted to review the change record that was automatically created each time a change is made to the job that affects the target price or the cost of the job.

Deactivate the PBS Changes Log

The Activate Changes Log button must be selected first to enable the Deactivate Changes Log button.

Deactivating PBS Changes Log

  1. Select the Price tab.
  2. Under the Audit Log section, select the PBS Changes button to open the PBS Changes Register.
  3. Select the Action tab.
  4. Under Tools, select the button Deactivate Changes Log to deactivate the change log.
