To access the Library Resource Rate Register from the Backstage View, select Library from the side menu. When the library opens, select the Setup tab, then select the Resource Rates icon to open the Library Resource Rates Register. Click on the Unique tab. You can use the unique resource type for resources you have that don't fit into any of the other resource type categories.

Fees, security, non hourly equipment and subcontractors are examples of what you might use the unique category for. To create a new unique resource, select the Actions tab and click on the New icon. Enter UDUMP in the code field, then press Tab. In the Description field type "dump fees."

Notice that the Cost Category Breakdown includes all cost categories. All units of measure are available as well to accommodate any kind of resource you may need to add. Expand the Fees category and enter $50 in the Undefined Fees field. Then change the Unit of Measure (UM) field to Load.

On the Setup tab, change the Resource File to "Standard Unique Rate File." Change the Org Category to "earthwork" and change the Cost Driver to "CI Quantity." Change the Default Quantity to 1, then click OK to save and close the record.
