When building your estimate, you may need to copy data such as pay items, quantities, or labels into InEight Estimate from Excel. Likewise, you may want to send Estimate data out to Excel. On the Actions tab of all InEight Estimate registers, there's an Export to Excel feature that makes it easy to transfer data from any of your register forms to Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. It's important to know that only the data displayed in the register's current view will export to Excel.
You want to send your Estimate Cost Breakdown to Excel for reporting purposes. From the Estimate landing page, open the CBS Register. Select the CBS Simple view. There are only two columns you want to export.
Select the Actions tab and click on Export to Excel. This creates a new Excel workbook and a dialogue appears for you to save the workbook. Save it to your desktop, and enter the file name as CBS Export. Then click Save.
The Excel workbook is now saved to your desktop and Excel automatically launches and displays the workbook with the CBS Register data imported. From here you can customize or filter the data to your specific needs.
