Starting from the backstage view, select the Library from the sidebar menu. When the library opens, select the Setup tab and then select the Resource Assembly icon to open the Library Resource Assembly Register. The Library Resource Assembly Register houses all the resource assemblies for your company. Your resource assemblies import into your projects based on the settings you specify under Import Filtered Resources and each project's job properties.

You can filter your resource assemblies by Resource file description. Click on the Filter icon and select Standard Assembly File. Then click OK. Expand the pipe fitting assembly.

Notice that assemblies can contain labor, equipment and material resources. To create a new assembly, select the Actions menu. Then click on the New icon. In the Code field, type CEXC as the unique code for the assembly.

In the description field type Excavation Assembly. To add resources, click in the Resource Code field. Then click on the Resource icon to open your register of resources. For this assembly, select the LL2 Laborer and L02 Operator Class 2.

Then click OK. Notice that both are now added to the assembly. Open the Resource Register again, and add the EX225 Excavator Equipment resource. With your new resource assembly created, you can click OK to close and save the resource assembly record.
