Updated 18-DEC-2023 AWP Claiming tab

  • Model and InEight Estimate integration – The current Model to Estimate on-premise integration now works with Estimate in the cloud. ClosedRead more Watch video

    You can use DTOs in Model to sum object quantities and sync quantities with Estimate in the cloud.

    The Model integration icons are in Estimate’s main ribbon under More Actions > Model Connector section.

    • Select in Model – Select a cost item and its linked Model objects are then selected within Model.

    • Frame Selected – Select a cost item, and its linked Model objects are then framed within the Model viewer.

    • Sync Model Quantities – Quantities summed via DTO execution can be synced to Estimate in the cloud.

    • Send Selected CBS to Model – Sync CBS structure from Estimate in the cloud to Model.

  • AWP Claiming tab – In the AWP panel, a new Claiming tab has been added that synchronizes claiming schemes from InEight Plan with Model. ClosedRead more

  • Issue manager enhancements – You can now double-click an issue on the Issue Manager panel to open and edit the issue. New fields for title and description and a Feed section have also been added. ClosedRead more

    • Title and Description fields have been added to the issue details panel.

      The title is now a new column in the Issue Manager grid.

    • The Feed section has been added to the issue details panel, which lets you add comments regarding the issue all the way through the issue resolution. This lets you have correspondence within the Model application to streamline communication.

    • In Clashes, improvements have been made to easily navigate through the panel.

  • New Model installations default cache path – The default cache location for any new installations is now %localappdata%/InEight/Model/Cache. Existing installations that have their cache location path in My Documents or user Documents directories will be moved to the new default location. Other existing cache locations will not be moved. Switching to the new default path is highly recommended. For more information, see Model cache

  • Default graphic card – Default graphics configuration on Windows devices that contain multiple GPUs (integrated and dedicated) now auto-assign the Integrated Graphics to the Model.exe task when the application is started.
