Video - InEight Progress - Add Details to a New Daily Plan

Welcome to InEight Progress. In this video, you'll learn how to add details to a new daily plan. Daily plans can be created through the Work Packaging module of InEight Plan or directly in Progress. Click here to add a new daily plan and complete the required fields.
Under approvers and executors, you'll see a dropdown list with the personnel assigned to your project. If you want to associate a work package from InEight Plan, you can add it here. This will automatically associate the tasks and resources from the work package, so you can easily add them to your daily plan. Click here to create the plan.
By default, you're on the Details tab, which shows a summary of key information. The next tab is Time Sheet. Here you can specify assigned tasks and plan out the labor and resources for the day's work. Click on the Add tasks and resources button to open a slide-out panel where you can add your tasks, employees, equipment, and vendors.
If you associated a work package on the Overview tab, you'll see the corresponding resources here. Select the items for your plan and click Done. The tasks, employees, and equipment appear on the Time Sheet tab. Clicking the white tile next to the resource allows you to add hours you plan for your crew to work that day.
By clicking on an employee's name, you can open a menu to add extra pay, change the billing class, and update the attendance. Adding a note to the employee's time is included as well. These details will be applied to the entire day for that employee. Let's move to the Quantities tab to plan out the quantity targets you want to hit.
Here you can see the tasks you've already selected. Clicking this icon will open a slide-out panel where you can calculate your costs in detail. The Components block shows the planned components for each task. To add activity or material components, click here.
You'll see a list of components associated with that task. Use the search bar to quickly access your components. Now your components appear on the Quantities tab. Expand to see the quantity broken down into steps.
Use the check boxes to plan your day's quantities. You can also manually add your planned quantity here. On the next tab, you can add notes or issues pertaining to your daily plan. You can also include supporting files, like documents or photos, and add tasks or associations for reporting and review purposes.
On the Productivity tab, you can review your plans compared to your budgeted costs and man-hours. With your plan details entered, you're ready to submit this for execution. You've now learned how to add details to a new daily plan. Thanks for watching!
