Video - InEight Progress - Create a Daily Plan from a Work Package

Welcome. This video demonstrates how to create daily plans from an installation work package. In the Work Packaging module of InEight plan, you can view all the installation work packages for your project. To create a daily plan, first click on the work package you want to use.

On the Workspace tab, select the data blocks you'll use for your plan. Now, add your components and resources. Notice on some data blocks, you have the option of adding your resources manually, or you can choose from associated project resources. When finished, click the Daily Planning Wizard.

This will load your current selections into your daily plan. Review the details in the daily plan slide out, then click Next. The Create daily work plan page will open for you to complete the required information. Add a plan, name, approver, and executor.

Next, the Confirm resource page opens for you to review your plan details. You can delete any of the components or resources at this time. In the last screen, your Tool box talks information appears. Click here to create your daily plan.

Now your plan will open in InEight Progress. On the Overview tab, you can see the selections you made in Work Packaging. On the Details tab, you'll see a summary of key information for your plan. Moving to the Time Sheet tab, you'll see your resources, including employees, equipment, and vendors along with your planned tasks.

You can add hours for your resources by selecting the white tiles. Open the Quantity tab to see your planned tasks and the components for each task. You can input your planned quantities here or add the quantity manually. With your hours and quantities added, you can add additional notes or issues and check your productivity calculations.

When you're ready to submit your plan for execution, click here. Now you've learned how to create a daily plan from a work package. Thanks for watching!
