Welcome! This video demonstrates how to create daily plans from an installation work package.
In the Work Packaging module of InEight Plan, you can view all of the installation work packages for your project. To create a daily plan, first click on the work package you want to use.
On the Workspace tab, select the data blocks you'll use for your plan. Now add your components and resources. Notice on some data blocks, you have the option of adding your resources manually, or you can choose from associated project resources.
When finished, click the Daily Planning Wizard. This will load your current selections into your daily plan.
Review the details in the daily plan slide-out, then click Next. The Create Daily Work Plan page will open for you to complete the required information. Add a plan name, approver, and executor.
Next, the Confirm Resource step opens for you to review your plan details. You can delete any of the components or resources at this time.
In the last step, your Tool box talks information appears. When you're ready to create your daily plan, you have a few options depending on your workflow.
You can click Skip planning to create the daily plan and move it directly to the execution phase. Click Save and create another to create this plan and return to Work Packaging. Or, click Create plan to open your new daily plan in InEight Progress.
On the Overview tab, you can see the selections you made in Work Packaging. Here we can see the IWP we used to create this plan. If needed, you can associate additional work packages.
On the Details tab, you'll see a summary of key information for your plan.
Moving to the Time Sheet tab, you'll see the tasks, employees, and equipment you selected in Work Packaging. Click Add tasks and resources to add any additional resources. Select the white tiles to add hours for your resources.
You can use the Work Order field to select a work package to be associated with these work hours, either at the default level or at the work hour level. These details will be visible in Time Center once the daily plan is submitted.
Open the Quantities tab to see your planned tasks and the components for each task. You can input your planned quantities \[by selecting the Complete checkbox] or add the quantity manually.
With your hours and quantities entered, you can add additional notes or issues, and check your productivity calculations.
When you're ready to submit your plan for execution, click \[the Submit button].
