If you had the chance to set up a dashboard that would give you key information related to your work each day, what would you want to see? Well, when you log into your InEight software, the Home Landing page is a flexible, customizable dashboard that highlights key metrics, tasks, and other information to help you with your projects. This landing page comes with a few pre-built views. Just to get you started here, you can pick the view you want and set it as your default.

So it's what you see every time you log in or come back to this page, which you can do by clicking the Home icon. These views can also be tied to user roles, so when each user logs in, they automatically see the default view that makes sense for what they do. But most importantly, from this menu, you can also set up a dashboard view of your own. You can do this in a few different ways by selecting and editing your own personal dashboard, or by creating a duplicate of a view, or by creating a new dashboard view altogether.

Now, from this menu, you can have up to 15 dashboards showing at once, and if you want even more control under your profile preferences, you can have up to 50 views, and you can pick and choose which of those show up in the view menu. So let's take a look at some of the info you can have on the page. Each view is made up of individual widgets, with each widget giving you key information to help you with your job. For example, I may find it helpful to know the weather or have links to websites I go to a lot or even a webcam view of a job site.

I can view budget and forecast progress, issues I have on various projects, and other dashboard metrics and reporting. To control what data shows up on the dashboard, you have a filter to pick and choose which projects to include. You could pick as few or as many projects as you need and can view all the projects at once, or just look at the ones you've selected. Then at the widget level, you can drill down that set of projects further to refine what you need to see.

Remember, this is just your default view, and you can customize your own view altogether. In this case, I may want to make changes to my view, but don't want to start from scratch. Let's duplicate the view where I can now add, remove, resize or reorder my widgets. I can rename this view whatever I want.

It will only show up in my View menu. How about instead of my links and map, I want my time phase budget front and center. And to fill this hole, I want more reporting info. So from my widget library on the left, I can add whatever widgets I'd like.

Notice there's widgets for multiple different InEight applications. Now that I've got it how I want it, I click Save. And there we go. I have my own new personalized view.

Remember, you can also create new views from scratch, which gives you a blank canvas to build your dashboard however you'd like. Need to delete a view? Simply select the view, then select Delete current view from the menu. Well, that's enough to get you started with the Home Landing page in InEight.
