Welcome to InEight Progress.

In this video, you'll learn how set up reason codes, premiums, and employee equipment linking on a Time sheet.

Reason codes, premiums, and equipment link are a great way to build in more details to your daily planning and payroll tracking.

Note that in order to use these features, they must be enabled under the organization and project settings.

Reason Codes

Open a daily plan and click on the Time Sheet tab.

Click here to manage hours for the employee.

Click the Add icon. Here you can see reason codes set up for your project.

Reason codes are categories set up in your organization and project settings that are helpful for payroll tracking such as work, vacation or PTO.

Select a reason code and click Done. Now, enter the hours the employee will work under that reason code.

You can add multiple reason codes for one day's work. When assigning hours for a reason code, you can also indicate a premium rate.

Premiums

Premiums are assigned on an hourly basis, and are used to ensure employees receive the correct pay for the work that is done. For example, this employee worked as lead hand during a shift. Click on the Premium icon and select the correct premium for the work.

Now a premium rate of pay will be applied for those hours. Note, your reason codes and premiums can be edited in any phase of daily planning, or in the Time Center module.

Equipment Linking

You can also track which employees are assigned to operate different pieces of equipment in your daily plan. To assign a worker to an equipment resource, first add hours for that employee, and select a reason code for equipment.

Click the icon and select the equipment the employee will operate.

Then click Done.

The assigned hours will appear with that piece of equipment.

Notice the color coded bar indicating which employee is assigned to the equipment.

In this case, we can see that the worker will operate both pieces of equipment for this daily.
