This video is an overview of how to set up account codes.
If your company is using account codes, they can be accessed by clicking here.
Then Master Data Libraries, Account codes.
Account codes are arranged in a hierarchy of parent child relationships that can contain varying levels of detail indicated by color of each level of hierarchy.
The account code's master data library contains five tabs.
Published, Staging, Audit log, Import log, and Publish log. Public account codes, have been created and published under the staging tab.
You can create and edit account codes under the staging tab.
Which are not available until they are approved.
The audit log tracks changes made to the account code structure up.
The import log tracks the status of all the account codes during the import process.
The publish log shows when you publish a new account code to the master data libraries.
With the correct permissions, you can delete, replace, or rename account codes, and are typically maintained at the organization level. To ensure the categories and codes remain consistent with company standards.
Anytime you make a modification to an account code, a number will appear next to staging, which signifies the number of edits awaiting to be approved and published for this organization.
Approving account codes is done via batch, and the length of time to complete depends on the number of account codes to process.
