Welcome to InEight Control.

In this video, we'll cover how to define a date range when selecting the average performance forecast method in the CBS.

Using actuals from a specific date range to determine the unit cost and unit rate will allow you to exclude low productivity exceptions like ramp up periods, resulting in a more accurate average performance forecast.

To get started, make sure the average performance settings column is added to your view.

When average performance is selected as the forecast method in the CBS.

You can double click in the average performance settings column and select a date range of your average performance to forecast your remaining work.

There are several options to select from when choosing dates.

You can calculate average performance overall dates.

Based on most recent dates, based on a specific range, or based on a particular date.

Once you select the date range option you would like, click apply.

For example, let's choose to calculate the average performance based on a certain date range. Once you select the date range option you'd like, click apply.

Notice the forecast remaining cost and forecast remaining man hours change based off the cost item's performance from the date range we selected.

The forecast method and average performance settings changes are also shown in the cost item details slide out panel.
