This video gives you an overview of columns, filtering, and grouping in InEight Control.
To move columns, you can simply drag and drop.
Click and drag any column until you see two black arrows, indicating where the column will go, then let go.
And the column drops into place. You can sort on any column by clicking on the column header.
The arrow in the column header indicates if the column is sorted descending or ascending.
To filter by a column or multiple columns, click the filter icon.
And select query.
An example query could be to find all items that have steel in their description.
First, choose description as a column to filter on.
Then keep contains as the operator.
And finally, for value, type in steel.
If this is a filter you'd like to use again, click the save as icon.
Enter a query name.
Then click the save icon.
Click apply and the filter will be applied to the register.
The register now displays only the cost items with steel in their description.
To clear the filter, click on the filter icon and select clear queries.
If you have any saved queries, you can access them via this menu.
By clicking the row density icon, you can adjust row density to be tight, narrow, or relaxed.
Select narrow, and the height of your rows decreases to fit more rows on the page. Select tight, to fit the maximum amount of information on the page.
It's also possible to group items by clicking here.
Then drag and drop a column header into this area.
Grouping allows you to group your data in the most efficient way that makes sense to you.
This is useful if you want the option to group certain columns and view their subtotals.
Well, that's an overview of columns, filtering and grouping. Thanks for watching.
