In this video, we'll cover how to choose which cost items contribute to the pay items forecast take off quantity from the cost breakdown structure.

As a reminder, you can indicate which cost items contribute their quantities to a pay item from within pay item details on the cost items tab.

But perhaps you'd like to indicate which cost items should contribute while working in the CBS.

Note that the option to indicate cost items quality contribution to the pay items from the CBS must be turned on by someone with project level settings from the project level settings, control revenue tab.

To select which cost items contribute their quantities to their corresponding payer items from the CBS Navigate to your CVS tab in innate control.

Right click on a cost item and open cost item details from the drop down menu.

On the details tab, a CBS slide out panel opens to display the checkbox for pay item contribute quantity.

This function lets you choose which cost items contribute to the pay items forecast take off quantity, which can also affect earning rules for the associated pay item.

You can quickly modify cost items in bulk by selecting several cost items.

Note that for the cost items quantity to sum up for the pay items forecast take off quantity, the units of measurement of the cost items and the pay item must match.

Next, select the appropriate pay item contribute quantity checkbox.

Checking the box will update both the current forecast take off and the earning rules if they are set to calculate based on the forecast take off quantity value.

Deeselecting the checkbox will also update both the current forecast take off and the earning rules of the corresponding pay items.
