Video - InEight Control - Date Range Setup

TRANSCRIPT

Welcome to InEight control.

This video demonstrates how to set up date ranges in control.

In control workspaces built into the actuals data block on the C B S

tab is a date range function.

All type two custom data blocks you create will also have the date range

function.

The date range function will allow you to filter your costs and hours to the

date range you specify. Notice on the actuals data block header,

there are two fields where you can specify a start and end date for your data,

perhaps you want to view the actual cost and man hours for just the current

month, select the first day for the current month for the start date

and today's date for the end date.

The Hours and the costs in the data block now are filtered to only show costs

and hours for the date range you've selected.

You can also click on the calendar icon to select from a list of predefined date

ranges such as last month or last month

end.

Note that both weekend and month end date rules are determined during project

setup under the fiscal calendar settings.

Filtering to last month end can help you forecast based on the previous

month's actuals without worrying about additional actuals that may have recently

come in. Select current week.

Notice the date range automatically updates to reflect the current week and your

cost and manner hours update accordingly. Well,

that's how to set up date ranges in control. Thanks for watching.
