TRANSCRIPT
Welcome to InEight Control.
This video demonstrates the Estimate Resources Library in InEight Control.
Within the project library estimate resources contain the resources used
to detail labor, equipment and material costs of your cost items.
To create, edit,
and manage these resources you can access the estimate resources in one of
two ways by clicking here
and selecting Project Library.
The estimate resources tab will open by default,
or you can hover over the number of resources displayed under the resources
column for a cost item.
The Estimate Resources tab is organized into seven resource categories known as
resource types here.
The register displays the key information for each resource, including its code,
description, utilization count, and unit cost.
You can add additional resources by clicking here.
Because you are on the Labor tab, it opens an ad Labor estimate resource window.
Here we can enter a code and a description.
Now we'll scroll down to the default quantity field and change the value from
zero to one.
This will be the default quantity when the resources added to a cost item
on the resources rate tab
in the Scale one column for Labor enter Unit cost,
then click add.
This resource is now available to assign to your cost items.
To add a resource to a cost item, click here
and select Workspaces
right click on a task and select cost item details.
Select the current estimate resources tab and expand the current estimate
resources section.
This is where you can see what resources are employed on the cost item.
To add another resource, click here.
This opens the Estimate Resources Library,
where you can select the resource that was just created.
Then click Add. The resource is now added to your cost item.
You can see that the resource column now shows the new resource added. Well,
that's a quick overview of the Estimate Resources Library. Thanks for watching.
