Video - InEight Control - Non Associated Budget Move
TRANSCRIPT
Welcome to InEight Control.
This video demonstrates non-associated budget moves in InEight control.
You may choose to use the non-associated budget move option as a quicker way to
complete a budget move compared to an associated budget move.
Prior to doing a formal budget move.
You can estimate those changes in your current estimate.
If desired you can use those changes to calculate your budget move
automatically, which is covered later in this video.
To do a non-associated budget move,
you can select the cost items involved in the move,
then select actions,
budget move and contract adjustment, budget move.
On the budget move,
note that you may have more or less tabs depending on your project settings.
On the details tab, you can add pertinent info related to the move.
Then click next.
Here we can see the budget items we selected for the move.
If you need to add other items, you can do so here.
Here you can manually enter the budget move amounts in any of the adjusted
columns.
Or since we already adjusted our current estimates,
we can auto calculate the budget move amounts from those current estimate
changes
When prompted. In this case, we'll select to only auto calculate the cost.
Keep in mind that for budget moves,
your total adjusted amounts should net zero,
otherwise you will not be able to submit the record.
Click next and next again if necessary to get to the final
step.
Here you can review your changes.
Then either click submit to send it in a pending status to the change register.
Or in this case, click approve to approve it now.
A message appears confirming the budget move.
The change register also shows the approved budget move. Well,
that's an overview of non-associated budget moves in InEight Control.
Thanks for watching.
