This video demonstrates page navigation in InEight Control.
The workspaces page in Control is the main page where you'll do most of your project management tasks, such as tracking progress, managing budget changes, and forecasting.
The Workspaces page contains tabs where you can toggle between your cost breakdown structure to your account code structure or pay items, and can also access the change register and audit log.
From the actions menu, you can perform tasks related to the register page you're on, such as making budget changes, and syncing data with other applications.
From the view drop down, you can select from a list of preset view sets to focus on just the data pertinent to the tasks you need to perform, such as the forecast view set.
For forecasting, you can also create your own view sets.
And from the notifications icon, you can view any notifications you receive.
The right toolbar contains functions for the register page you're currently on.
These options change depending on the tabs you're on.
For the CBS, The undo icon provides a list of the most recent tasks you've performed, so you can pick and choose what to undo.
From the display currency icon, you can select which currency you want to display your values in.
By default, your values display as entered, allowing you to enter your values for each cost item in whatever currency you choose.
The CBS tree icon opens a slide out panel where you can select which cost items to display.
You can use the filter to drill down on the data in the column or columns you specify.
The sorting icon turns yellow when you sort on a column.
From the add data block icon, you can add sets of data related to your work called data blocks, such as actuals or forecast.
The import icon allows you to import cost items with their details.
The export icon allows you to send whatever data you've just laid on your screen out to an Excel file.
The row density icon lets you control how call your rows display to allow more rows to fit on the page.
The find icon and for the find feature you must select the column or columns to search in.
In this example, description is selected.
And materials is typed in the find field.
Notice, the first cost item that begins with materials is now highlighted.
You can also search for information that contains materials anywhere in the description.
Since there are multiple cost items containing the word materials, you can click on the blue side arrow to go to the next one found.
The left toolbar contains basic actions for a specific item.
In this case, when you select a cost item, you can either add a new cost item, edit a cost item or delete.
