Welcome to InEight Control.
You can update Control's forecast take-off quantity with Plans component total quantities. To accurately determine the total amount of materials needed on a project.
Let's walk through an example using haul rip rap cost item example that is assigned to WPS phase code ten eighty-seven.
In plan, the WBS phase code ten eighty-seven is assigned to components using material with a total quantity of thirteen thousand five hundred and seventy-two. Let's navigate to innate control.
In the CBS, The plan component total quantity is thirteen thousand five hundred and seventy-two, which is a total of all the quantity components in plan.
Note that the original forecast to take off quantities in control for haul rip rap is six thousand seven hundred and sixteen.
The forecast take off. Plan component quantity column makes locating deltas between the component and forecasted quantities easy.
In this case, we want to adjust our forecast to match these updated component quantities since there is a delta of five thousand nine hundred and two.
To update forecast, take off quantity with plan components.
Navigate to the actions drop down menu. Select, update forecast, take off quantity with plan components total quantity.
You will have to specify the value you intend to modify.
CE total cost or c unit cost. Click okay.
Note the plan component total quantity is now copied over to the forecast. Take off quantity.
