Welcome to InEight Control. This video demonstrates the settings for progress control. Within the tool a few specific columns allow you to manage the information sent to other InEight applications and to your E R P system. These specific columns are located on the C B S tab in the task details data block.
Click here to move to the second panel of the data block. Double click in the Allow Asbuilt Field to open the dropdown list and view the options. The Allow Asbuilt column controls, whether you claim quantities against that item or costs with their Associated Man hours, or both quantities and costs by selecting all. You can also select none, which would restrict that item from any claiming of actuals against it.
Select all to claim both quantities and costs. Keep in mind that once you receive quantities, costs, or man hours against the cost item, you can't change the allow as-built setting. Another great way to make sure items don't get claimed against, such as indirect items or overhead, is by hiding the items from View in Plan and Progress altogether. Click here to move to the third panel.
Notice the Hide in Plan and Progress column. By checking the Hide in Plan and Progress checkbox, you can hide items so they won't appear in the plan or progress applications. This makes it easier for the supervisor or foreman in the field so they only see their work related tasks. In this example, we'll check the box for job overhead to hide the item in plan and progress.
Well, that's a quick look at the progress control settings in InEight control. Thanks for watching.
