Video - InEight Control - Push to Live Forecast

TRANSCRIPT

This video demonstrates how to push data to the live forecast in

InEight Control.

The live forecast is the official forecast for financial reporting for the

project,

and is shared with all members of the project to view only those with the

correct permissions such as Power User will be able to update the live forecast.

From the C B S tab,

select live forecast view set from the view drop down.

The live forecast data block is now on the page.

You can also add the live forecast data block manually to your view if you'd

like. The live forecast data block is showing orange texts on all columns.

This sets it apart, so it stands out and is not confused with other forecasts.

All forecast values are based upon actuals as of the date shown here.

With the right permissions, you can make changes directly to the live forecast.

You may choose to push forecast values from another forecast into the live

forecast.

Select the add data block button and add the forecast data block by dragging it

into your view

from the forecast data block title bar click here to select a forecast to load.

Select the forecast and select load.

You want to update the live forecast with changes from the forecast you just

loaded. Check the boxes to select 4.1, 4.2,

and 4.3 cost items.

With these three items selected, click on the forecast title bar

and select Push to live forecast.

A prompt appears showing your live forecast values, your forecast values,

and the difference.

This allows you to double check your changes before committing them to the live

forecast. Click yes.

A message notifies you that the push was made successfully,

and you see the live forecast update with the adjusted values. Well,

that's an overview of how to push data to the live forecast in InEight Control.

Thanks for watching.
