Manage Budget Changes (Change and Control)
Use Case
The project controls manager receives word of an issue found in the field that the superintendent is pricing into a change order. After negotiations with the client, the change order is ready for the project manager’s review.
If your organization uses both InEight Change and InEight Control, you can create budget moves or change orders in InEight Change and have them automatically update the Change Register in InEight Control for final review.
Budget move from InEight Change
If an issue occurred on your end, and you can’t charge the owner for it, those costs will need to be covered from another place in the budget by doing a budget move.
You can initiate a budget move from InEight Change and then approve it in InEight Control, using the following steps (access links for additional information as needed):

Contract Adjustment from InEight Change
As issues come up in the field, you can develop these issues into change orders using InEight Change. Once executed, these change orders show up in the Control Change Register as contract adjustments for final review and approval.
