• Support for DACH GAEB bid format to import and export pay items — You can now manage your bill of quantities (BOQ) in the Estimate’s Pay Item and Proposal register using the GAEB file format. The DACH GAEB option lets you quickly manage pay items in Estimate. Read more

  In the Actions > Data Source section of the pay Item & Proposal register, expand the DACH drop-down menu to select from the following options:

  • Import GAEB – You can import your BOQs into Estimate to automatically create pay items. When the Lock Cost Items to Pay Items option is selected, cost items are also created.

    If your GAEB bid file changes, you can also import the new updates without duplicating the pay items. Estimate updates existing pay items and creates any new pay items in the file.

  • Delete GAEB – Allows you to delete the pay items from a list of imported GAEB source files. When the Lock Cost Items to Pay Items Cost items option is selected, cost items are also deleted.

  • Export GAEB – You can select to export the pay items from Estimate to a source GAEB file. When you select to export, the GAEB Sources Register dialog box opens and shows a list of imported GAEB files for you to select from. The exports contain any updates made to the pay items, such as pricing. After the export is completed, the file automatically opens to quickly review the BOQ file.
