Create an Issue from a Daily Plan

Use Case

At the end of the day, the foreman adds a note to a daily plan that says, “we had an extra piece of steel we discarded.” The superintendent receives this as an issue to investigate and see what’s going on.

You can create issues directly in daily plans in InEight Progress.

Anyone interacting with a daily plan can add an issue based on their review of the daily plan or field observations.

To enable issue creation in Change, the daily plan must first be approved in Progress.

The following steps walk you through creating an issue from a daily plan.

Step 1

Within InEight Progress, open your daily plan.

Click the Notes/Issues tab.

Click the Add icon in the upper left, and then select Add issue.

Step 4

Enter an issue name and issue start date.

Step 5

Associate issues with tasks, employees, equipment, and components in the daily plan. Click Add Associations, then select Associations in the slide-out panel.

Step 6

You can attach photos to the issue. Under photos, click Browse Photos, and then select an image file. You can add up to 20 photos to a plan.

Step 7

Click Done.

When the daily plan is approved, the issue shows up in the New Issue register of Change, with a pending status.
