Use Case

As actuals are reported from the field, the project controller tracks subcontractor progress in InEight Control, rolling up claimed quantities and percentage complete to the cost-item level.

Use InEight Control to view contract details per cost item and track subcontractor progress.

View Contract Details

As a Project Controller managing and communicating the project’s progress at the summary budget level, it can be difficult to gather and roll up the progress details that were captured at the Contract and field entry levels.

With WBS codes assigned to each of your cost items in Control, and also assigned to the appropriate schedule of value items at the contract level, those contract details then automatically roll up by WBS code to their corresponding cost items.

To review contract details in Control, you may want to create a custom data block to display subcontractor-related columns like in the example below:

To learn more about setting up data blocks, watch the following video:

While reviewing cost items in Control, you can view contract details as needed, by right clicking on a cost item and selecting Contract details. This opens a slide out window containing:

  • Details of the contract and line items that roll up to that cost item.

  • Links to the contract records in case you need to pursue more information.
