Subcontractor Collaboration within InEight safety, Quality & Commissioning (SQC)

You can use InEight Compliance and InEight Completions modules to manage project collaboration.  

Compliance and Completions are best suited for collection of data during execution of HSE, quality and commissioning processes. 

Adding Subcontractors as Users

Like your employees, subcontractors can be added as individual users at the Core, organizational level. After adding their contact information, identify their role and the organization or projects to which they will have access.

User Groups for Subcontractors

Alternatively, you can also provide your subcontractors a way to access, review and collaborate on forms and tasks related to quality (Completions), safety and other Compliance modules by creating User Groups.

This process begins by creating a subcontractor user group in your Project settings.

In InEight Compliance and Completions, once you’ve assigned subcontractors through user groups, their user group can either be assigned to events directly from an event record, or given access through a form flow.

Below we can see an example of a form flow where user groups are made the responsible party for step two of the flow.

Initiating a Workflow Form

Within a Form Flow, when an event gets to the step of the workflow where a subcontractor user group has been assigned, all users of that user group will be notified via email.

Participating in a Form

As a member of the user group that was assigned that step in the workflow, the event will also appear in the subcontractors All Events page.  There they can open the Event Title and continue to collaborate on the form flow.

Viewing Reports

Your subcontractors can also have access to Report and Explore to report on the modules they have access to.
